Meetings

We hold meetings from 5.00 pm (to about 7.30 pm) on the 4th Tuesday of each month except December. We meet at the Friends Centre, at the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, Ashmore Rd, Benowa.. The meeting will usually open with a guest speaker talking about a topic of interest. Topics include gardening principles, garden design, plant families, vegetation communities, plant families, flora for fauna, native plants from other areas, practical workshops on Plant ID, propagation or members nights where we share knowledge or plants or slides.

Excursions

These are organised for the weekend following our meetings unless there are displays or shows being run. They are organised to view members’ gardens, other native gardens, national parks and conservation areas. They are a mixture of morning/afternoon, full day and 2 – 3 day ‘camp-outs’ to areas further away.
